Are you left wondering what to do with all your leftovers from Thanksgiving? Here is a real simple, set it and forget it crockpot Ham Soup recipe that's as easy as 1-2-3.
Ham Soup Recipe
The beauty of this recipe is that you can adapt it so easily to your family's likes and dislike. It is also a good way to not just use up Thanksgiving left overs
but to clean out your cupboards as well.
1. Place leftover ham (on the bone is preferred for best flavor) into crockpot with one large container of Chicken Broth (48oz).
2. Add Vegetables - you can use any vegetables you would like or have on hand.
We used: 1 can of Pinto Beans, 1/2 bag on mini carrots, 1 medium onion (cut), 2 celery stalks, and a few mini red potatoes (cut in half)
Some other good ideas would be Bell Peppers, Zucchini, Squash, Corn, Asparagus, or other variety of Beans
You could also substitute pasta or rice in place of potatoes, but be sure to add extra liquid because they will absorb most of the liquid in the crockpot. Also if you use rice or pasta you only need to add it the last hour or so of cooking.
3. Set crockpot on low for 6 hours.
That's it! Literally as easy as 1 - 2 -3. Leave a comment below with your review if you make this soup at home. Enjoy!
